To become a member, simply visit our Membership page and fill out the application form. Garden beds are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Clearwater residents. Once accepted, you’ll receive an orientation, garden guidelines, and access to a raised bed plot for a full growing season.

Yes! Clearwater Community Gardens is open to the public for walking, viewing, and participating in scheduled events and workshops. While only members may cultivate the beds, everyone is welcome to enjoy the Common Areas, Butterfly Garden, and Apiary tours during community events.

Our on-site apiary is home to honey bee hives that support pollination across the garden and surrounding area. The bees are maintained by trained volunteers from our Bee Team, who also provide education and host seasonal honey harvests. The apiary plays a vital role in sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The Butterfly Garden features a mix of native nectar plants and host plants to support all stages of a butterfly’s life cycle. You’ll find milkweed for monarchs, passionflower vines, zinnias, and other pollinator-friendly blooms that attract a wide variety of butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects year-round.

There are many ways to get involved! You can join a workshare team, help maintain the Butterfly Garden or Common Areas, assist with events and tours, or become part of a Workshare Team. If you do not want a garden bed, you can become a non-plot member and contribute in other ways. Contact us to learn more and sign up for a role that fits your interests and schedule.
