Members Meeting & Pot Luck
Come to the Gardens for our first members meeting and pot luck on Saturday, January 13 at 4:00pm, with Guest Speaker, Anne Lopez of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the land owner of the Gardens.
Bring food to share (bonus points if it includes something from your garden!) and mingle with fellow members, new and returning. These social occasions are always fun and yummy!
Our Guest Speaker, Anne Lopez, Interim Executive Director of the CRA, will discuss what's happening at the construction site next to our Gardens. We'll also have a Q&A with her to answer all your questions on how this will impact us and our gardening this year. (Yep, we get to be nosy neighbors!)
For the food, we always have a great variety. Simple is always good. If you're not sure what to bring, here are a few ideas:
Salad
Pasta dish
Any kind of main course
Finger food
Casseroles
Desserts
Side dishes
Snacks
Pretty much anything that can be easily transported will do well.
The goal is to have something for everyone, with no one stressing about it. Bringing something you like and would be happy to share always works. Most important, though, is to bring yourself!
